SCHÖNES LEBEN is located at Alter Waldrahm 15, in 20457 Hamburg. It is a bright restaurant with special coffee specialties, pan fish and North Sea plaice on offer. I drank a nice beer there and ate a crispy chicken roll. Both were very delicious. The staff is very friendly, helpful and very valuable. Highly recommended! Great ambience. Price-performance ratio for breakfast is not quite right. The black bread mentioned on the menu was slices of grain rolls and somehow the beautifully prepared breakfast lacked that certain something.

A very cozy, beautiful restaurant in a wonderful location in the Speicherstadt. In addition to really delicious dishes and reasonable portions, the friendly, attentive service deserves special mention. Likewise a paradise for vegans. We would love to come back!

I finally made it back here during my visit to Hamburg this year. Like the first time it was super cozy and the food was a pleasure. Always worth a visit.

No one came to help us to get seated. It was not even busy.

We had the steak and a schnitzel. The steak was great and there was nothing to complain about, unfortunately the schnitzel was still totally raw inside. When we immediately complained about that, the schnitzel including all starters was taken directly from the table and apologized. We were offered to order an alternative main course, as my girlfriend did not want that, we refused. A little later another waiter came and offered us a free dessert as an excuse. We gladly accepted that. In the end, however, the bill said the schnitzel. When asked it said "The dessert was free"

Today we went to the restaurant for breakfast and I have to say that, in contrast to the restaurant in Neuendeich, we were very disappointed. The only positive thing is the very modern ambience. That’s how the positive side ends for me. First of all, we had to wait 1 (!!!) hour for our breakfast. It was a la carte and nothing extraordinary about it. The female service was completely overwhelmed. Either no drinks were delivered or, if they were delivered, too many and not the desired items. My personal highlight was that our 12 year old daughter was asked if she would like a Prosecco too. Perhaps a training course in the area of ​​youth protection law would be appropriate. And (even if you are stressed) to give the customer a smile! Now to the quality of the food. As mentioned above, we have already enjoyed the restaurant in Neuuendeich, so the standards were high. Here the breakfast was standard with sticky rolls that felt like they were wrapped in cling film yesterday, to serve them again today. I will therefore prefer to drive the further way to Neuendeich and have an excellent breakfast there.

Nice cafe, organization disastrous. We arrived and had to wait a long time to get a seat. Then we haven't received a card for a long time. The guests who came later than we ordered before we even had a card. We were told that there is no more breakfast - the guests after us got breakfast ... I won't be back. Latte macchiato was good though.

It's always nice and we had a nice evening there. The decoration on the squares and in the whole place is appropriate and tasteful. The toilets are always clean and all in all the restaurant gives a very good impression. Try the good cuisine, there is usually something for everyone on the menu. Very quick and nice service. I think all the staff did a very good job there.

Took a 14inch German sausage here.

The decor was very nice, but the service was a bit slow...

German food with some asian (India) influence. Good tasting food, nice atmosphere, eclectic decor and good service. Reservations strongly encouraged, as we tried going there before without one and we could not get a table. We had the "Hamburger Deluxe" and beef "Wiener Schnitzel" and both tasted great. A bit expensive overall, but you get good food. I wish they had more main courses on the menu though.

Delicious veggie options, high quality meat and excellent services. And the location is a perfect start to explore this amazing part of Hamburg. It's a must for me when I'm in the city!

Excellent restaurant meat / fish / vegan. We were two and we both opted for a Main Dish Fish. Basically it was a plaice like the sole, both as consistency like flavor .. Large enough. The dish 'was served with shrimp but you can choose the bacon. In addition to fish we were brought to a side of a lot of good potatoes and pie delicious cucumber. First we were offered bread with a typical sauce. I accompanied the dish with an excellent truly exceptional Hanseatic white beer. The restaurant is clean, not noisy. Fast service.

Nice patio and the interior is nice as well. The fish was very good, I would definitely order again. The veal schnitzel was good. The bouillabaise was very flavourful.

Long waiting time, mediocre food and rude staff! We got there at 7pm and ordered approximately at 7.30pm. Our waitress took almost ten minutes only to take our orders, because she would constantly get things wrong, not understand us or leave people out (Yes, we have a native german with us, so it's not about any language barrier). My mother accidentally ordered smth wrong and asked our waitress to change it, not even a minute after she typed it into her 'ordering' device, and got told off (my mom didn't want to start a scene, so she just kept the wrong food). Our appetizers were brought half an hour later (which was long but still fine with us), then we had to wait a solid 65 minutes for our main dish. It's now 9.20pm and am finished with my food. We're ten people and almost nobody finished their food, mostly because we're not hungry anymore after the long waiting time. The food was good, but not what I expected regarding the high prices. My mothers salad was oddly sweet and the sauce was chunky and weird. You could've gotten better or similar food for much cheaper almost anywhere else, especially here in Hamburg. We're currently trying to pay, but every waitress seems to be ignoring us. All in all I would not recommend to eat here!
